Welcome to Body Grace

Body Grace is an Aberdeenshire business, owned by Denise Gracie, a fully qualified Pilates, BarreConcept and Yoga teacher. Denise currently offers several mixed ability Pilates classes, as well as a Hatha yoga class and gentle based Pilates classes for older clients, all based within Newmachar and Belhelvie.

Denise is passionate about sharing the many benefits these regimes can bring and promoting wellness in a relaxed, caring and friendly environment, helping her clients to improve their strength, posture, flexibility and balance, all while taking care of their mental wellness too.

In addition to Denise’s weekly timetable of classes, Denise also runs ad hoc wellness workshops at various times throughout the year, including movement, meditation and mindfulness practices.

As well as being a holistic teacher, Denise is passionate about counselling and is currently undertaking a post graduate course in Counselling and Psychotherapy with the University of Aberdeen.

Gentle Pilates

There are lots of benefits of keeping active later in life and people should never feel they are too old to start a fitness class. These classes provide the freedom and independence to enjoy life in later years, while specifically focussing on areas of the body which can deteriorate with the aging process, such as the hip and shoulder joints.Over 60′

 

Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga is a gentle and traditional form of yoga that focuses on basic postures (asanas), breathing techniques and relaxation, combining the practice of physical movements, and breathing to create balance between the body and the mind. As Hatha is often slow placed, it is beginner friendly, making it a great starting point for anyone new to yoga.

Pilates

Pilates will help to improve general fitness levels and create a sense of body awareness and improved coordination. It can also help with injury prevention, muscle strains and aid in rebuilding and strengthening damaged muscle tissue. It can reduce stress and anxiety levels and help with getting better night’s sleep. By correcting muscle imbalance, faulty muscle recruitment patterns and bad habits, the body is brought back into alignment.

Denise is a brilliant coach/teacher, very thorough, highly professional and yet patient.  I feel the benefit from attending the class so much that I increased it to twice weekly.  I would highly recommend joining one of Denise’s classes.
